Old Songs on Vinyl Records that I'd love to have again.

OK, more old songs to find. I was a kid when i heard some of these old songs.

1. I took a ride on a bubble, a big soap bubble, a big soap bubble i blew
2. Make believe Cowboy, you've had a busy day.
3. Flying Magic Song - flying, flying, flying magic song, I wish I were a Indian arrow, Inka, binka bong!
4. Crockie, Crocodile. "I'm a poor old crocodile, I always frown and never smile. Won't somebody help me out and find out what it's all about."
5. A Travlin' Man was Gulliver, a travelin' man was he. He said upon the ocean to see what he could see."

Oh my gosh!! I haven't thought of Flying magic Song for 55 years! Wow, I used to play it over and over, and The Little White Cloud That Cried.

That's for a wonderful memory!

Wow, this is an old response. I used to listen over and over to those songs. I eventually became a musician. Songs I listened to in my early years were formative... just like Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches with a bowl of bean with bacon soup!!!

Any idea where we can get a copy of "I took a ride on a bubble" or for that matter, an old 50 years old or so set of "Childcraft Encyclopedias?"

I wish I was a kid again, together we would play
Make believe cowboy, you've had a busy day...
Who sang that? I can't find reference to it anywhere else on the web

I am amazed that there are others who remember the "Flying Magic Song" (I can see the shiny black record with its bright yellow label in my minds I even now). DOes anybody recall "Alice in Christmas Wonderland?" Another tune from the soundtrack of my youth.

I used to ride for hours on my rocking horse listening to "Make Believe Cowboy". I loved that record album. We're all dating ourselves here. :)

You know, that bubble song is a great song for our economy. This country took a ride on a real estate bubble, and a dot com bubble. Where did the bubble go…in the song, it goes to Ireland! The Irish had a real estate bubble! Then it goes to Italy…many European countries had a bubble. Then India, which sounds Arab for some reason, and then South America, which sounds like Mexico. And then home…a huge bubble here at home! LOL. Look at the stock market today. Riding the bubble!

We had an album with both "Ride On A Bubble..." and "Crockie Crocodile". I'd love to find recordings of those songs.

We did, too. I’ve been thinking about that album for years and wish I could hear it.
